Why it exists
Being funny is better with other people. The best laughs usually come from a group of friends riffing off each other, building a bit until it falls apart and somebody takes it somewhere stupider. Not from a stage.
Most of us don't get that often enough. Friends get busy, group chats go quiet, and open mics are about performing, not playing. Laugh Empire is a standing invitation to the fun part: a live hour, a few times a week, where everyone's in on it.
Why it's small
Big rooms turn into audiences. Small rooms turn into regulars. We keep membership limited so everyone gets a turn, the inside jokes have time to build up, and you actually know the people you're laughing with.
What a good night feels like
- Someone throws out a terrible pun and three people make it worse.
- A callback from last Tuesday lands and the whole call loses it.
- You leave in a better mood than you arrived.
What it isn't
It isn't a comedy class, a show, or a place to get roasted by strangers. Nobody's grading anyone. It's adults only and no topic is off limits, but we joke about things, not at the people in the room. Read the house rules.
